Washi Card Tree
The tape tree is pretty straight forward. Using scissors cut the tape into pieces as big or as small as you want and tape to the wall in the shape of a Christmas Tree. Next you can decorate your tree with lights, small ornament balls or even hang the Christmas cards you receive onto the tree. This is a great idea for decorating an office door or just to help you get in the spirit before the real tree goes up.

❄️ Homemade Christmas Ornaments
Salt dough Ornaments
An easy way to make handmade ornaments is to use Salt dough. Kids of all ages can participate in not only making the dough but cutting shapes and decorating them.
The Salt Dough recipe is quick:
1 cup salt
2 cups of flour
¾ cup of water
In a large bowl mix salt and flour together.
2. Gradually stir in water. Mix well until it forms a doughy consistency.
3. Turn the dough onto the bench and kneed with your hands until smooth and combined.
4. Make your creations using the salt dough.
5. Place the salt dough creations into the oven at 180C. The amount of time needed to bake depends on the size and thickness of the salt dough creations.
Trace hand prints or cut out stars and trees. Once the dough is hard you can paint and decorate them however you want to.
Book Page Ornaments
If you have a stack of books you do not know what to do with, this is an awesome way to make good use of them. 🔥 Lighted Garland
Garland can be made with all kinds of materials. You can use string, real pine branches or burlap. The burlap garland can be used traditionally on a mantel or wall or as a table runner. Supplies are minimal:
- 2 inch red burlap ribbon
- 2 inch green burlap ribbon
- 2.5 inch natural burlap ribbon
- White mini lights
Cut the burlap into 8-10 inch pieces. It makes the project easier if you then cut each piece vertically down the middle. Next, pick your color pattern and start tying the strips on the light strip. Repeat your color pattern over and over until you are happy with the end product.
This would be a beautiful table runner or used to decorate the mantel by the stockings
